April is a seasoned marketing vet and all around people-person. Throughout her career she has worn numerous hats, from customer service and upper management in the airlines industry to most recently the Marketing Director for the Chaffee County Visitor’s Bureau. During her time with Chaffee County, she had the opportunity to work with local and national journalists as well as the community to showcase what the area had to offer for tourists looking for a relaxing mountain getaway. Some of April’s past projects included the City of Salida’s Creative District Designation, the USA Pro Cycling Challenge, and assisting Senator Udall’s staff on the designation of Brown’s Canyon National Monument.
April has a fervent love for Colorado mountain towns, having lived in Crested Butte, Gunnison, Salida and now Durango for most of her adult life. She is an avid skier and cyclist; April and her husband have participated in Ride the Rockies for the past seven years.
Having the opportunity to explore Europe and reside in South Korea for a year, she has uncovered her desire to escape reality and enjoy other cultures. If not traveling, Alicia enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, rock climbing, jazz in the park with friends and gazing at the stars.
